The Biden Treasury Department is having a fantastic day

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

This evening the Senate confirmed former Fed Chair Janet Yellen as Secretary of the Treasury. She’s the first woman to ever run the Treasury Department (several women have occupied the position of U.S. Treasurer, but that’s a different and far less powerful position than U.S. Secretary of the Treasury).

Yellen is expected to enact a number of reforms to not only clean up the mess that Trump stooge Steve Mnuchin made at the Treasury, but also to crack down on wealthy white collar crime.

In what was likely not a coincidence today, the Biden administration also revealed that it’s reinstating the process of putting Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill. This is a lengthy and complex process, so it could still take awhile to happen. But this is in sharp contrast the Trump regime’s attempt at delaying the Tubman transition as long as possible.
