Donald Trump’s new attempt at treason with Russia

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Of all the ways in which Donald Trump signals he’s about to tell a lie – “believe me” or “I’ve heard” or simply opening his mouth – his favorite go-to phrase is “I’m the most…” followed by some easily disproven claim. One of his most outrageous statements is saying he’s been the toughest on Russia. Despite a near unanimous, veto-proof bill sanctioning Russia for its interference in the 2016 election, it took months for Trump to even begin to implement any of the sanctions. When UN Ambassador Nikki Haley stated that America would place more sanctions on Russia for its role in Syrian chemical weapons attacks, Trump walked it back saying she was confused.

Based on Trump’s record doing of everything he can to appease Vladamir Putin, it’s not shocking to discover that Trump has quietly snuck a “special rule” into the annual defense policy bill that would allow the Trump administration to waive some sanctions on American allies who purchase weapons from Russia.

With Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Trump’s conspiracy with Russia against the United States closing in on Trump and his inner circle, it seems that Trump’s gameplan is to continue his smear campaign on American patriots in the hope of convincing his dwindling base that the FBI and DOJ cannot be trusted. Despite Trump and several Fox News hosts constantly lying about the truth, it’s clear that Trump is trying to pretend to be tough on Russia while doing everything in his power to not upset Putin.

This recent attempt to bypass Russian sanctions, which will certainly make Putin happy, was only just found during a Democratic review and summary of the bill. While Donald Trump has lived a life of crime, and for the most part gotten away with it, he underestimated the will of the American people and true patriots when it comes to allowing a traitor to continue selling out America. Trump is going to prison.
