Traitors.
Traitors. When starting an article special care is especially put into the first line. The first line frames what said article would be about. And for this article, there really were no other choices. The word refused to leave my brain.
Traitors. This is what I choose to call the people who are having temper tantrums over the release of Brittney Griner. Some claimed to be surprised by the Right-wing meltdown. Chris Cuomo was one of them.
He honestly did not expect this, he said. Others echoed that. Since when, they mused, was this a right vs. left issue? I say — since forever. If people are surprised by the right-wing meltdowns, they really shouldn’t be. Some say the hate being directed at Griner is because she’s a minority. Others say it’s because she’s female.
I’m afraid I have to disagree. Put very simply; it’s because anything that we — the Democrats are for – the right is not. It’s really that simple. If Trump had brought her home, these same people would be cheering, weeping with delight, and posting Maga messages.
But because it’s President Biden, things are different. It all comes down to “owning the libs.” It’s what Maga craves, what is on their minds from the time they wake up to the time they lay their little heads down at night for sleep.
They hate us. And anything that makes up happy must be wrong. Some of the messages of hate did surprise me a bit in that they were even eviler than I thought they would be. But Maga’s meltdown itself did not surprise me. Because really — why would Maga give two shits about ANYONE Trump didn’t give them permission to like?
And their actions are those of traitors. Believe me, I get how serious a word that is. But you should see some of them. Defending Putin, saying Griner was fair and justly sentenced. Do these slimeballs even know the meaning of the word compassion?
No, they do not. And it’s sad. On a day when most of America celebrated, Maga was miserable. They vented their hate, they whined, they complained, and in short, they showed us again what and who they are — traitors.
