Expert: the evidence strongly indicates Donald Trump is a “traitor”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

With all of the conspiracy theories coming out of Fox News recently, even the ones previously debunked multiple times, it’s important to appreciate actual journalists and experts speaking the truth about Donald Trump. Pulitzer-winning reporter David Cay Johnston, who has covered Trump for more than three decades, was recently interviewed about his feelings towards Trump and his administration. Johnston’s recent book is titled “It’s Even Worse Than You Think: What the Trump Administration Is Doing to America.”

During the interview, when Johnston was asked about Trump’s campaign lies he did not hold back, stating that “In 2012, the bottom 90 percent of Americans reported a smaller income than in 1967. Donald tapped into that problem, but he’s a con artist who promised to drain the swamp and then stocked it with swamp monsters.”

As has long been pointed out by Palmer Report, despite having received virtually no mainstream media coverage during the election, Johnston explains the many connections to the mafia and ties to known criminals Trump has had his entire life. Johnston even mentions that Trump learned this through his family going back to his grandfather, who “made his fortune running whorehouses in Seattle and in the Yukon Territory”, to his father who “had a business partner named Willie Tomasello, who was an associate of the Gambino crime family.”

When asked about Trump’s new found claim of being religious, Johnston says “I’ve followed Donald for 30 years. I don’t see any evidence that he has changed, and he certainly hasn’t repented, which is a fundamental Christian obligation. He is a racist through and through.” He goes on to say Trump exhibits symptoms of malignant narcissism and sociopathy. Despite Trump’s frequent claims of being about America first and foremost, Johnston says Trump differs from all of his previous 44 predecessors as he is the only one that doesn’t care about improving America and is only concerned with helping himself. Johnston ends the interview stating what we have said all along, “I would say that the evidence we already have, the public materials such as emails for example, strongly indicate that Donald Trump is a traitor.”
