TRAIN WRECK

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The GOP has a problem and this one is unexpected. It concerns Donald Trump — and when he chooses to surrender himself in Georgia. The GOP debate is next week. See where this is going? And a theory is being whispered about — that perhaps Donald John Trump will choose the day of the debate to turn himself in in Georgia.

I hadn’t thought of that, before seeing it mentioned almost everywhere. It makes a sick sort of sense. It would be vintage Trump. It makes a lot of sense. That way, Trump would get to destroy the Republican debate — turning all eyes upon him.

And it WOULD be rather amusing because all the Republican candidates would be losing their minds, particularly Ron DeSantis. DeSantis may already be losing his mind — because Chris Christie has just vaulted past him in New Hampshire and is now running a firm second.

So I imagine ALL of the GOP candidates — from parrot Haley, who repeats talking points (every moment) to the Ostrich (Pence, who has his head firmly bird in the sand) to the primate of all primates (Christie who might be anticipating such a move) to Pudding Fingers himself– all of them will be asked about virtually nothing but Donald Trump’s arrest — and how they feel about it.

So this debate, which was already shaping into a trainwreck, might now be a DOUBLE trainwreck. We’ll have to see.
