“Trailer Swift” – this is just ugly for Lauren Boebert
When Taylor Swift was getting headlines and TV time over the weekend just for being at a game, it made some right wingers feel insecure. After all, Swift is hugely popular and influential, and she keeps endorsing Democrats while encouraging everyone to vote.
This prompted one right winger to post a tweet claiming that right wingers already have their own Taylor Swift in the form of Lauren Boebert. This tweet was apparently meant to be taken seriously, but instead set off swift (pun intended) laughter across the board.
A day later it’s still being talked about on Twitter. At this point people have come up with the name “Trailer Swift” for Lauren Boebert, which is mean spirted and… not inaccurate.
In any case, it’s all a good reminder that ring wingers don’t have role models, because right wing beliefs are about justifying selfishness and/or burning it all down out of spite, and how could any role models even emerge out of that?
