Donald Trump said he wasn’t doing a press conference today. Then he found out Joe Biden was doing a live press briefing at 7:00pm, so Trump decided he needed to hold a press conference at – you guessed it – 7:00pm. We’re just a few minutes into it, and this is already just… how to even describe it?
Trump started off by viciously attacking the Governor of Illinois. Then he quickly pivoted to inaccurately promoting hydroxychloroquine as a safe and approved micacle cure for coronavirus, when in fact hydroxychloroquine is a drug with potentially fatal side effects that hasn’t been properly tested for coronavirus. Trump also tried to promote the popular antibiotic azithromycin as a coronavirus cure, but he ended up calling it “aritzomyicin” before stopping himself and then calling it “aritzomyicin” again.
