Toxic exposure

Many people in America ( and other places) are still reeling from Iowa Senator Joni Ernst’s insane, pathetic, outrageous, callous, cold, arrogant, revolting, deranged, and disgusting remark she made on Friday.

Ernst’s response to a question about Medicaid cuts was, “Well-we’re all going to die.”

Is it as simple as that, Ms. Ernst?

This remark made me think of Logan’s Run. Logan’s Run was both a novel and a film, and it was dystopian before the term ‘dystopian’ had even become a word. It was about a society that put people to death when they reached the tender old age of 30.

I was reminded of this work in Ernst’s comment. And it ALSO reminded me of the cruelty and callousness behind literally all that the GOP does.

They are the Deities of cruelty and in them lurk ice for blood.

But many Democratic lawmakers are ALSO taking note of this remark. Governor JB Pritzger wasted no time in posting on X.

“This is MAGA;S one, big, beautiful healthcare plan.”

He’s right. And do you know what? The (only) good to come out of a callous, biting, hurtful statement like this is the following:

“Put it on a bumper sticker!!!!”

Reports indicate that this remark will be used in Democratic commercials. That is a good thing as Ernst, idiot, that she is entirely exposed the values — or lack thereof – that she and every single republican stand for.

They have lied. They have broken their promise to America. EVERY politician who voted for this GARBAGE DUMP of a bill or who WILL vote for it — needs to be taken to the woodshed. All of these cruel chickenshit creatures need to be STUCK with this label.

“We’re all going to die someday.” This is the mantra of the GOP — it’s a death cult, an icy log in the middle of a warm desert, a space where only the MAGA are welcomed and embraced, (although folks like Ernst would not think twice about screwing THEM over either.)

So yes, perhaps one good thing came out of this, and that thing is the exposure of what unites Republicans — which is nothing absolutely NOTHING — but hate.
