Total silence

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It’s now been more than half a day since Fox News aired Chris Wallace’s interview with Donald Trump. By any objective measure, it was a total disaster for Trump. Wallace called out his failures and lies at every turn. Trump stumbled each time he tried to push back.

Here’s the telling part about how poorly it went for Trump: even he seems to understand that it went poorly. He’s made no mention of the interview on Twitter, good, bad or otherwise. He’s not bothering to try to spin the interview in a positive light. He’s not even bothering to attack Chris Wallace. He’s just hoping everyone will forget it happened. It went that poorly for him.
