Total dud!

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Television ratings for this week’s Republican primary debate will likely be low. Ratings for Donald Trump’s competing interview will also likely be low. No one out there really gives a damn about any of these people anymore. There’s zero enthusiasm anymore for Trump or the Republican field.

Even Trump’s base largely seems intent on not watching him speak these days. The last thing they want to do is tune in and be reminded that he’s now a senile broken blob who can’t stop whining about his past losses. They’re not going to suddenly want to watch his latest interview either.

And while the numbers suggest that about two-thirds of Republicans are outside Trump’s base, none of them seem to have any interest so far in the 2024 Republican primary contest, or in any of the people running.

So who’s left to care about this Trump interview or this GOP debate? No one. No one out there considers Trump or the other candidates to be of any real consequence. He’s going to prison, and these are the losers who can’t even market themselves against a guy who’s going to prison.
