Top DOJ official resigns as Bill Barr circles the drain

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Considering the timing, it’s not difficult to figure out that Attorney General Bill Barr – who clearly checked out awhile ago – is now only announcing an imaginary “probe” into the election results after Donald Trump fired the Secretary of Defense. Barr is simply trying to avoid being the next to get fired; everyone except Trump knows that Barr’s “probes” never go anywhere.

But still, even though Barr’s election probe is a joke that will land with the same thud as the Durham probe and the unmasking probe, the mere fact that Barr is even pretending to wade into this is a seriously corrupt act. So it’s not surprising that the top DOJ official who oversees voter fraud, has now resigned in protest of Barr’s announcement.

To our mind, this is merely further evidence that Bill Barr’s “probe” isn’t going anywhere. If this official is that upset with the fact that Barr announced the probe, and he thought it was going anywhere, he’d have stuck around to try to derail it. Instead he’s quitting because he doesn’t want his name attached to such a corrupt announcement, but he doesn’t think there’s any risk of it getting off the ground.

In any case, with Bill Barr now taking meekly corrupt action to try to avoid getting fired by Trump, and Barr’s underlings now starting to resign because he’s taking that meek action, he’s taking on water from all sides. It’s fair to say that Barr is circling the drain.
