President-elect Joe Biden just took a blowtorch to Donald Trump over the U.S. Capitol attack
President-elect Joe Biden held a press conference today to introduce multiple new members of his administration. In a fitting bit of timing, one of them is Biden’s Attorney General. This comes after Donald Trump incited a domestic terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol Building yesterday.
Biden ripped into the people who violently attacked the Capitol: “Don’t dare call them protesters, they were a riotous mob, insurrectionists, domestic terrorists.” Biden also held Trump personally responsible for the attack, citing Trump’s wildly different behavior whenever the protesters have been anti-Trump, including when Trump had protesters tear gassed and then posed with an upside down Bible.
It’s notable that President-elect Biden is personally holding Trump responsible for yesterday’s terrorist attack while introducing the new Attorney General. Biden has made clear that he won’t meddle in DOJ criminal cases against Trump one way or the others. But Biden just made his feelings very clear about Trump’s criminal culpability in yesterday’s attack.
