Melania Trump releases strange statement about Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Even as the explosive fallout continues from the op-ed which revealed that one or more senior members of the White House have been actively working against a mentally incompetent Donald Trump all along, the author is being attacked by an unlikely source. For reasons known only to her, Melania Trump has decided to insert herself directly into the fray on this particular issue. However, the nature of Melania’s attack seems to give something away.

Melania released a statement through her spokesperson, which slammed the op-ed author: “you are not protecting this country, you are sabotaging it with your cowardly actions.” She goes on to say that “if a person is bold enough to accuse people of negative actions, they have a responsibility to publicly stand by their words and people have the right to be able to defend themselves.” The rest of her statement continued on this theme. The kicker here is what she didn’t say.

This op-ed claims that Donald Trump is dangerously deranged and at least partly senile. It makes the argument that Trump is a cross between Adolf Hitler and Mr. Magoo. Yet while Melania Trump was so outraged by the anonymous nature of the letter that she felt compelled to put out a statement saying as much, she didn’t even bother to push back against the accusations the author made against Trump.

If the accusations made against Donald Trump in this op-ed were untrue or unfair, wouldn’t that be the first thing his wife would want to publicly refute? By issuing a statement but only condemning the op-ed’s anonymous nature, and not bothering to challenge the jarring assertions being made, Melania is creating the impression that she agrees with how the op-ed describes her husband. She’d have helped Donald more by not saying anything at all – and come to think of it, she may be well aware of that.
