Tom Arnold says he just got physically attacked by the producer of Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice”
According to comedian Tom Arnold, there are outtakes from “The Apprentice” of Donald Trump saying racist things and other hideous things, and Apprentice producer Mark Burnett is sitting on the tapes of it. Arnold is now launching a television show aimed at unearthing the Trump tapes in question, even as Burnett tries to dodge the media’s questions about Trump. Now it turns out things have apparently gone south very quickly between the two men.
Just a few minutes ago, Tom Arnold posted this alarming tweet: “Mark Burnett just went apeshit & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain. I’m waiting for LAPD.” Arnold has been publicly blaming Burnett for Donald Trump’s dangerously deranged presidency lately, so it’s not difficult to guess that this incident was probably about the Trump tapes.
It’s not immediately clear why Tom Arnold would have been invited to Mark Burnett’s Emmy party, considering the bad blood between them. Considering that this took place at a party, there would seemingly be witnesses to the altercation who can provide more context. Dare we suggest there might even be proverbial tapes of it? Mark Burnett hasn’t yet made any public statement about the incident. In any case there’s clearly more to come with regard to this still-unfolding story.
Shortly before the incident, Tom Arnold revealed on Twitter that he’s received text messages from Donald Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen, and that he plans to reveal them on Nicolle Wallace’s MSNBC show this upcoming week. Arnold and Cohen famously posed for a selfie in July, at a time when Cohen was still unsure how to handle the massive criminal case being built against him. In August, Cohen cut a plea deal. This past week it was revealed that Cohen is working with Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
