Allen Weisselberg immunity deal means Donald Trump is toast

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Some folks on Twitter and other social media – including people who should know better, such as Alan Dershowitz – continue to assert that Donald J. Trump has done nothing wrong, that he is clean, and that Michael Cohen pleading guilty to eight counts earlier this week have nothing to do with Trump. But now we have two people with very close ties to Trump being granted immunity.

While those who cling to the storyline that Trump is at worst going to have to pay some fines for the campaign finance violations, just like President Barack Obama did, will likely continue with their fantasies that their cult leader is clean, the walls continue to close on Trump. It is a matter of time, if one is really paying attention to the developments.

Earlier this week, David Pecker, Chief of National Enquirer’s publisher, AMI, was given immunity. It appears that Pecker is (figuratively) raining down a shower of evidence over Trump, who will not call the information “golden.” Pecker reportedly has described a vault where stories that would hurt Trump were kept and other information is apparently forthcoming, including about payments that were made to shelf the story of Karen McDougal, who allegedly had an affair with Trump.

Now comes even more dangerous news for Trump. Allen Weisselberg, who has been the CFO of the Trump Organization for many years, has reportedly been granted immunity in the Cohen probe. Cohen may have tapes and information to share about the dealings of Trump over the years, but Weisselberg knows where the skeletons are buried. In addition to these two being granted immunity, the New York Attorney General, Barbara Underwood, is reportedly investigating possible criminal action against the Trump Foundation and has subpoenaed Cohen. Weisselberg will surely be subpoenaed as well.

While #MAGA followers and Trump supporters may continue to remain in their collective state of denial that Donald Trump is going down, developments continue to suggest that Trump is in trouble – and with powerful folks being granted immunity who can tell many details about the real Donnie the Don, we may learn soon just how wrong the Trumpsters are.
