Donald Trump tips off that the Ukraine whistleblower bombshell is about to completely explode
Well, we’ve arrived. Donald Trump’s Ukraine whistleblower scandal has been a ticking timebomb for the past week, and that ticking has become conspicuously loud over the past few days. It’s becoming clear that the whole thing is about to explode, and now even Trump himself is signaling just how ugly he knows this is about to get for him.
This morning Donald Trump began making the most random and absurd accusations against the whistleblower he could think of, tweeting things like “Is he on our Country’s side” and “Where does he come from.” That’s right, Trump now appears to be preemptively hurling racist and xenophobic attacks at the whistleblower, just in case the person turns out to be non-white or an immigrant. But then Trump opened his mouth to reporters and gave away the whole thing.
While at a United Nations event this morning, Trump said this to a group of reporters: “If you don’t talk about corruption, why would you give money to a country that you think is corrupt?” In other words, he’s not just admitting that he asked Ukraine to invent the phony scandal about Joe Biden – he’s admitting that he did in fact threaten to withhold money from Ukraine if its president didn’t help him with the phony scandal.
Donald Trump is now flat out admitting that he used U.S. taxpayer money to try to extort a foreign leader into helping him alter the outcome of the 2020 U.S. presidential election. This is just what Trump is admitting to. This means the scandal is even uglier than that – and it means that Trump expects the whistleblower report and/or the transcript of the phone call to surface within days if not hours. Here we go.
