Time to bring it in
Kamala’s VP pick is almost here! By next Tuesday, we will have a NEW VP to get behind! And get behind them we must no matter WHO Is picked. I only mention this because of the squabbling I see on social media. This usually begins with these words: “I want ________________ (fill in the blank).”
We have neither the time nor the inclination to do that. I would be thrilled with the ANY pick — because I trust Harris to make the right decision. So, let’s look at some of the ones reportedly still in contention. I am only going to mention only their positives. No negativity is allowed in this article!
Mark Kelly. Kelly is such a — I mean he’s just such a hero. He is out of central casting. His background is SO compelling. He is from Arizona. Governor Tim Walz coined the: “weird” line of attack that has brought Republicans to their knees. He’s a folksy and charming guy, and I would LOVE the chance to see him debate Just Dumb Vance.
Josh Shapiro is beloved in Pennsylvania, and his oratory skills recall Obama, as many say. Any Beshear WON IN RED STATE. It does not get redder than old Kentucky towns. And these old Kentucky towns love Beshear. Mayor Pete is one of the best communicators in Democratic history. He’s also a terrific human being
Who will it be? Who can it be? I’ve no idea, but I love trying to guess. You might too. But let’s commit to all of us getting behind the pick, whoever it is.
