Donald Trump just made the cover of Time Magazine – but not for the reason he’s hoping
Donald Trump has long been so obsessed with making the cover of Time Magazine, he’s been caught putting himself onto fake covers of Time Magazine and hanging them up at his resorts. The good news for Trump is that he just made the cover of Time Magazine for real. The bad news: it’s not for the reason he might have hoped.
The new cover of Time Magazine shows Donald Trump having painted himself into a corner, appropriately with orange paint. This is in obvious reference to Trump getting caught trying to criminally conspire with the president of Ukraine to alter the outcome of the 2020 U.S. presidential election in his own favor, a move which was notable for its brazenness and stupidity. Of course this isn’t the first time that Donald Trump has received a negative Time Magazine cover since taking office. But right now it matters more, because Trump has been caught red handed and he’s being impeached, and the nation is looking for guidance on how to feel. The Time cover couldn’t be much more clear.
