Donald Trump gets mocked after declaring that it’s “time for a change” in 2020
Maybe Donald Trump wants us to forget that he’s the President of the United States, and that he’s therefore responsible for what’s happening right now. Or maybe his incrementally worsening senility has reached the point where he’s forgotten that he’s the top-line name on the ballot in November. In any case, the last thing Trump should be tweeting tonight is “Time for a change! #2020”
Yet that’s precisely what Donald Trump just tweeted. Sure, he was trying to refer to the Democrats in Minnesota. But considering how the 2020 election is being viewed as a referendum on his first term, he basically just told everyone to vote him out office in favor of Joe Biden.
People quickly piled on with responses such as “I agree, don. Your mail will be forwarded to your new address” and “You’re right. We do need a change. And part of that change is you getting a change of address card come November.” Seriously, how did Trump not see this coming? His tweets just keep getting stupider and more self-defeating.
