Tim Walz is drawing a big crowd in Nebraska. Here’s the real reason he’s there.
By now most of us can name the key swing states off the top of our heads: Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina. Then there are the states that are not in play but we’re hoping will be, such as Florida and Texas. So what is Kamala Harris’ running mate Tim Walz doing in Nebraska today of all places?
Nebraska is one of the few states that divvies up its electoral votes instead of doing winner take all. This gives the Democrats the realistic opportunity to pick off one electoral vote in the state. Accordingly, Tim Walz is in Omaha today.
Interestingly enough, there’s a huge crowd waiting to get in:

Harris-Walz isn’t going to win Nebraska outright. They can only realistically win the one electoral vote there. But it’s remarkable that Harris-Walz is generating so much enthusiasm across the country, Walz is even able to draw a crowd in Nebraska.
