Tim Walz invades Fox News

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We’ve had a sizable media blitz from both Kamala Harris and Tim Walz over the last week, even while both have been heavily hitting the campaign trail. It surprised everyone last Sunday when Walz appeared on the political talk shows on Fox News and then he did so again this week, as a dose of sanity against the nonstop lies his opponent JD Vance has been dropping on behalf of his boss, Donald Trump.

There are a number of Fox News viewers who will largely vote Republican no matter what, but there’s also a number of undecided who watch the station, given its sizable weekly ratings, and that’s why Walz made his appearance.

Anyone who watches Fox News long enough just has a steady diet of how everything the Democrats do is an evil communist plot and that one day, surely, they’ll take everyone’s guns away. That’s why it’s critical for the Harris campaign to offer another perspective to keep any of these absurd beliefs from landing – and Walz did so in a solid, plain spoken fashion – whittling down the Republican talking points to what the issues actually are: 1) The Republicans think we should accept school shootings as inevitable and 2) Taxes should be used for the public good, with billionaires paying a little more than everyone else.

It’s pretty hard for anyone to agree with them on the first one, and hard to disagree with Walz on the second – and he brought the ball right to the GOP’s court when he appeared on the Sunday talk shows. It’s also why that party shouldn’t be trusted with power and why we need to elect the Harris-Walz ticket by Nov 5 while voting Democrat downballot.
