Three strikes and you’re out

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Were Donald Trump’s bobble-head a bright, blinking neon sign, the words on this sign would say: “Closed for business.” Trump has been banned from doing business in New York for three years. And as for his OTHER work project — running for President — well — that is not going well either.

Case in point: Trump, speaking in Nashville, Tennessee, was almost two hours late to hit the stage. Perhaps he should have stayed away entirely. I say this because Trump, on that stage, made gaffe after gaffe after gaffe.

Gaffe one: Trump did not seem to know how to pronounce the word “evangelical.” Really! This is not such a difficult word.

Gaffe two: Israel is now the Capital of Israel. At least, according to Donald Trump it is.

So does that mean there is a city in Israel called:
Israel, Israel?

Gaffe three: Trump, in perhaps his biggest blunder, declared “EVERYBODY” agreed with the decision to overturn Roe.

Now, of all these mistakes, the Roe one, in my opinion, is the worst. It also shows that Trump’s cognitive decline is getting much worse.

Why? Because just a few months ago, Trump was reportedly furious, telling republicans Roe could cost them the election and advising others not to talk about it. Now, he is chattering on about it himself. This is definitely a crisis for Republicans. Trump also praised the J-6 traitors for their “tremendous spirit.”

Trump is looking for votes in all the wrong places. To win the presidency, he needs to get MORE votes than he did in 2020. I cannot think of one extra vote he could possibly get, and if he continues to make ROE V WADE the brightly colored centerpiece of his campaign, he’s going to find his table of voters saying the party’s over and diminishing even more.

The fact that Donald Trump does not appear to know what awful mistakes he’s making is shocking. No matter what one thinks of Trump (and I think he’s a traitor) he did, at one time, know what NOT to say while running a campaign and bragging about the overturning of Roe was one of those things.

But Donald Trump’s brain is closed for business. He keeps slowly destroying his campaign with mistakes like this. And there will be many more. I say: bring it on.
