Three more Trump cabinet nominees are in hot water
There appears to be quite a lot happening behind the scenes regarding some of Donald Trump’s more absurd nominations. All that glitters is most definitely NOT gold — or not even silver — more like lead of the most toxic kind.
Some Republicans are said to be up in arms over a few of these nominees and are sending Trump a message for them — drop OUT. Ryan Nobles of NC News explained that some nominees, especially Pete Hegseth and Tulsi are rubbing some GOPers the wrong way.
Some of them are saying quietly, behind the scenes, that if these nominations proceed, things will “get ugly.” They worry Trump is forcing some Republicans to vote against these nominees, and that will project an image not of solidarity but of conflict.
So, there are talks going on about how to get some of these wayward runaway train candidates to drop out of their own accord, just like Matt Gaetz did.
They are worried that some nominees will melt under the spotlight of Democratic questioning during the hearings. They are worried about how badly some of them might come off, as these hearings will be televised, and any meltdowns that happen will be seen by many eyes.
They want Trump to have the best people around him, but they’re not convinced that some of these nominees are indeed the right people. They’re not. Tulsi is one that this writer feels would not survive any confirmation hearing. The reason? Tulsi, when under pressure, tends to go on defense. In the past, she’s done this, and all it has done is make her look defensive as hell.
She will not have the votes if she does that at her hearing. For some of these nominees, there are simply too many questions and too much baggage. It’s baggage they are not going to be able to leave at the gate. It’s going to follow them whatever they do and whatever they say.
Republicans know this. As I stated, Hegseth and Gabbard are the ones who are being most talked about. Still, since news of RFK Junior’s ridiculous attorney trying to get rid of the polio vaccine, his nomination is also up in the air.
And it might need a parachute desperately. Trying to fit a round peg into a square hole will not work. RFK Junior is especially is in hot water, and Mitch McConnell, a polio survivor, said he’s not very pleased with RFK Junior.
Mitch came out Friday with a pointed statement defending the polio vaccine and issuing what some see as a warning to Mr. Kennedy, as he suggested the nomination could be in jeopardy. I am not one to usually side with the turtle, but this is one time that I will. These nominees are not just dreadful; they’re a joke. Some will get through. But some of them likely WILL drop out of their own accord, and hopefully it will be soon,
