Donald Trump sends thousands of the wrong masks to blue state
Donald Trump has already bragged openly at his press conferences about not helping states like Michigan and Washington because he doesn’t like their Governors. Now Trump has sent thousands of the wrong masks to Illinois, a state whose Democratic Governor J.B. Pritzker has been critical of him.
The Trump White House promised Pritzker that it would send three hundred thousand N95 masks, which can protect people against the coronavirus. Instead, Pritzker is telling the Chicago Sun Times that the shipment his state received consists of surgical masks instead.
While surgical masks can protect medical professionals against certain kinds of illness and have some use in a medical crisis, they do not protect against the coronavirus. It’s not yet clear if this is yet another sign of the Trump regime’s incompetence, or if it’s yet another sign of the Trump regime trying to screw over a state in order to punish its Governor.
Over the weekend, California’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the Trump regime had sent his state 170 ventilators that turned out to be broken. Newson had Silicon Valley repair them over the weekend, and they’re already in use. Every time the Trump regime makes a “mistake” like this, it’s with a state that has a Democratic Governor.
