Ratings. They’re the only thing that Donald John Trump cares about besides money, power, insurrections, and trying to make everyone around him as miserable as he is. It’s quite ironic that Trump, who reportedly began to obsess about the DNC ratings, is now faced with the reality. Would the Dem’s convention bring more eyes to the TV than the Repub convention? And just how many eyes would this convention have? It’s a question that seems to have backfired on Trump.

We now have our first look at the data, and of course, it’s once again bad news for Donald Trump. (Isn’t everything bad news for Trump lately?) The overnight ratings for the first night of the DNC are around 11.4 million. That is 21 percent more than the viewers who tuned into Trump’s convention.

Is a ketchup tantrum on its way? It’s also important to remember that the OVERNIGHT ratings, which are released very early the next day, do not tell the complete story. They only reflect a portion of those who actually tuned in, so it’s probable that the actual ratings were even higher than that.

Yes. Lots of people tuned in to breath in the electricity in the air at the DNC but also to laugh — laugh uncontrollably, laugh freely, laugh with joy, fun, and sparkle — at the pig at the top of the Republican ticket who, much to his fury found himself mocked — again and again and again.

It’s nothing less than he deserves. But these numbers look great for us, and we get a double win as these numbers are (apparently) driving his royal mutant bonkers. That sure is good enough for me.
