This Smartmatic case just got really ugly for Sidney Powell and her pals

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Sidney Powell cut a cooperating plea deal in Fulton County and avoided jail time there. She’s still listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Jack Smith probe, and it’s unknown if she’s cooperating there. In the meantime there’s plenty of civil action against her in relation to the 2020 election, and now that civil action could potentially lead to new criminal charges against her pals.

New court filings in the Smartmatic voting machine civil case claim that the people running far right propaganda outlet OAN provided Sidney Powell with the passwords of Smartmatic employees. OAN says it didn’t happen. But if there’s proof it did happen, it would seemingly be a criminal act. If Jack Smith wasn’t already aware of this allegation, we imagine he’ll be diving into it immediately.

This is why it’s important to remember that people like Sidney Powell aren’t “off the hook” just because they cut a plea deal in one case. These cascading probes and cases were always going to intersect with each other in various ways. We’ll see where this new development goes.
