This New Hampshire primary is getting ugly for Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

President Joe Biden won the New Hampshire Democratic primary today in a blowout, as a write-in candidate, in spite of not even being on the ballot. Donald Trump was on the ballot in the New Hampshire Republican primary, but he only ended up winning by roughly ten points.

It’s a reminder that Donald Trump is in fact rather unpopular within the Republican primary voting base, and is only finishing in first place because he’s been running against one of the most embarrassingly non-viable Republican presidential primary fields in history.

It’s not that Nikki Haley, who finished in a strong second place, is doing anything right. It’s just that she’s not Trump, and a whole lot of Republican voters want anyone but Trump:

.
So where does this leave things? We’ll see. South Carolina and Super Tuesday, not Iowa and New Hampshire, always tell us who the nominees are going to be. But Trump keeps polling at around 50% nationwide in the Republican primary race, and that makes him vulnerable. Throw in his upcoming criminal trials and the increasing perception that he’s senile, and it’s only going to get uglier for him.
