This magistrate judge is not messing around with defendant Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Defendant Donald Trump was in court today for his arraignment after he was arrested on felony criminal charges relating to his attempt at overthrowing the government of the United States. Today’s hearing was handled not by the eventual trial judge, but by a magistrate judge. Suffice it to say that the judge wasn’t messing around.

The judge warned defendant Trump that if he’s suspected of committing any additional crimes while awaiting trial, he’ll be locked up until the trial. The judge specifically warned Trump that any attempts at influencing the jury, or improperly communicating with witnesses, will be considered crimes.

So there you have it. Donald Trump has now been handed the proverbial rope, and we’ll see what he does with it. If Trump decides to behave and let justice take its course, fantastic. If Trump decides to break the rules (or the law) and gets himself thrown in jail while awaiting trial, even better. This won’t go well for him either way.
