This just keeps getting uglier for Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. The recent news that Donald Trump and RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel tried to bribe canvassers in Michigan is yet another look into the lengths to which Trump went to overturn the 2020 election. MSNBC legal analyst Danny Cevallos believes the tape will become part of Jack Smith’s sprawling investigation. Why wouldn’t it? This is exactly the sort of thing Smith has been investigating, and every instance he finds merely strengthens his case. The only problem with this tape is that wasn’t included in the list of crimes. According to Cevallos, however, the information is still very useful. Cevallos calls this admissible evidence under Rule 404(b) evidence-other crimes, wrongs, or acts. This type of evidence solidifies a pattern and practice of wrongdoing, even though it is technically not admissible in the instant case. It also shows that this is a part of a greater plan that Trump dreamed up to overturn the election. The more evidence like this comes out, the more we see how this plan was well thought out but doomed to fail.

The most interesting thing about all this is that Trump targeted areas that were heavily Black. Most Black folks had no interest in Trump (and still don’t), so why he would claim fraud in those areas is puzzling, other than his racist tendencies. Wayne County (Michigan) includes the city of Detroit, which is 78% Black. Fulton County is 35% Black, and DeKalb County is 54.3%. Even Cobb County, Georgia-where Meadows tried to watch the recount-is 30% Black, and 13% Hispanic, 24% Latino, and 6% Asian. If you stop and think about this, Trump should have known these groups didn’t want him because of his racism. Wayne County went 68% for President Biden, so where was Trump looking for the problem? According to Monica Palmer, one of the canvassers who testified before the House Select Committee, Trump claimed that there were more votes than people and further claimed that “everybody knows Detroit is crooked as hell.” Because it’s majority Black? I will say it until I’m blue in the face: any Black person who supports Donald Trump needs his or her head examined.

While President Biden won 68% of Wayne County, he won the entire state by only three percentage points, which is likely why Trump chose Michigan; however, there are many more counties in Michigan than Wayne. Why pick that county? By bedtime, Trump was leading the state, but by morning, Biden had made major gains through mail-in ballots from Detroit and Flint. No wonder Trump railed about mail-in ballots, but hey, he’s the one who encouraged his people not to use them. Democrats used them in droves, which explains Republican legislatures attacking their use. We used to be able to vote through whatever means available without question. Then, Trump came on the scene, and everything changed because of a lie. Donald Trump is a criminal. It is vital that we keep him and most Republicans out of office in 2024. We should never have to deal with this nonsense again, and if they are all gone, we won’t.
