This just came back to bite Donald Trump
“We could very well have a sitting president under felony indictment and ultimately a criminal trial. It would grind our government to a halt.” Wow. Those words are so true. Who do you suppose said them? The speaker of these words is Donald John Trump.
It was during a rally in November of 2016 during his Presidential campaign. He just didn’t expect the words to surface. And surface they have. Of course, Trump was referring to the great Hillary Clinton, who was never charged with any crime because she never broke the law.
But Trump has — over and over again. And I think these words, uttered carelessly at one of his Maga rallies, should be used in a Democratic campaign commercial. Here’s more from our criminal: “It would create an unprecedented Constitutional crisis,” Trump said. “That would cripple the operations of our government.” These words were said at yet another rally in North Carolina.
Trump also said that if one is “the prime suspect” in “a far-reaching criminal investigation,” that would make it “virtually impossible to govern.” So true, Donnie, so true. And that’s why you should drop out. Because you’re under multiple indictments, and there are likely to be quite a few more. This would, of course, make it “virtually impossible for you to govern.”
I would even say all these indictments will make it impossible for Trump to run a political campaign. He’ll have to base it around court appearances, lawyers’ meetings, and maybe a trial or two. How in hell does he plan to do that? There won’t be a way for him to accomplish his task.
It’s rather ironic, is it not, to read Trump’s words, thrown out so carelessly YEARS ago, never knowing they would come back and bite him in his orange behind. The bottom line is that unless Republicans want a presidential nominee conducting a campaign from the clink, they really should think about supporting someone else. But because most of the GOP is not very bright, that just might not happen at all.
