This just backfired on Vladimir Putin

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Watching Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s obvious love of his beautiful country is like staring straight up at glimmering stars blanketing the night sky. It is lovely to see. What is not lovely is watching the monster Putin try to destroy this magnificent country. But he is losing the war badly.

And so much is backfiring on him. One of those things is NATO. Putin hates and distrusts NATO. He worried about Ukraine joining the alliance. That was only one of many reasons he launched his killing spree.

All his hate has succeeded in doing is bringing the world more closely together and making countries more entwined with each other. NATO is a force to be reckoned with. And soon, it might have another member.

Reports are that Finland is “highly likely” to join NATO. This is from the Finnish Minister for European Affairs, Tytti Tuppurainen. And she spoke out about NATO on Friday. “The people of Finland, they seem to have already made up their mind.” Polls show strong support from Finns in wanting to join. “The brutal war in Ukraine, that is a wake-up call to us all,” she continued.

Sweden, too, is seriously contemplating joining. Good for you, Finland and Sweden. Good for you. Putin is considered very smart by many though I question that. However, undoubtedly, Putin knows a lot about many things. What he does not know about and could not possibly understand is about the inner workings of love.

He cannot know because love does not exist within him. Love will never be caged. And Putin’s hate has brought many together. Finland wasn’t considering joining NATO before Putin started his war. Now they are. Putin launched a war of hate. And though the war is still playing out, there is no doubt that we are also witnessing the magnificent transcendence of love, something Putin cannot begin to understand.
