This isn’t going to work for Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Chris Cuomo had a very interesting show the other night. Author and Attorney Norm Eisen was one of Cuomo’s television guests. They discussed the new lawsuit assolini has started. Eisen was quite optimistic about the timeline. In his opinion, this lawsuit is bad news for assolini more than anyone else.

I write this because I know how anxious this lawsuit has made some people. But as Eisen said, there are a few things to take into account.

One is that the lawsuit will not stop the documents from being turned over. The only way this can happen would be if assolini seeks an injunction — a temporary one to halt the process — much like the case of the Texas abortion law.

Only to do this Trump would have to initiate the injunction process. And he’d need a good reason to — an explanation that makes sense. What could he say?

But more than that, Trump filing such a request would actually speed UP the process — not slow it down. Because the committee could and would ask that the whole thing be handled quickly — which it likely would be. These arguments make sense, and even Cuomo seemed impressed with Eisen’s arguments at the end of the show.

So, I would not worry about assolini’s latest temper tantrum. That’s just assolini being assolini (I love that nickname for him.) The committee will get what they need, and once more, Trump will lose and sit fuming by himself, surrounded by nothing except his own hubris.
