This isn’t a good sign for Trump at all

Donald Trump is so desperate to have fawning idiots cheer him while he bloviates at them, he’s holding a campaign rally next week during a pandemic. Of course his campaign is tipping off just what a bad idea this is, by asking attendees to sign a waiver agreeing not to take legal action if they catch the coronavirus at the rally. Now it’s gotten even uglier.

Trump is holding his rally in Tulsa, which has no electoral or strategic value at all, because Trump already has Oklahoma in the bag. The location has clearly been chosen because the campaign wants to make sure plenty of Trump fans show up, and because it has symbolic importance to racists. But now it turns out Tulsa has something else going on.

We all saw how hard some factories have fought to remain open during the pandemic, regardless of how bad the coronavirus outbreaks have gotten in the factories. But now a Whirlpool plant in Tulsa just shut down due to the coronavirus, amid new positive tests in Tulsa that are surging off the charts.

This means it’s a given that a percentage of the attendees at Donald Trump’s Tulsa rally will have coronavirus, and that it’ll get passed around during the event. Trump is putting himself, his staffers, and his supporters at risk of catching a virus and dying, just so he can ramble incoherently about stupid things. Even with Tulsa starting to shut down due to the pandemic, Trump is still bringing his clown show to town – and it could end up being a diseased clown show by the time it’s over.
