This is racist even for Donald Trump

Donald Trump is a racist. He will never admit it, and no one will say that to his face, including his Uncle Tom friends in the Senate and House. How do they look at themselves in the mirror for supporting him even though he hates them and those who look like them? They may be afraid to say it to his face, but that doesn’t apply to everyone. The NAACP spoke loud and clear when it announced on Monday that Donald Trump is not invited to its National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. According to Newsweek, this is the first time in the organization’s 116-year history that it has excluded a sitting president.
The NAACP came to existence in 1909 following a race riot in Springfield in 1908. While violence against Blacks was commonplace back then, the founders of NAACP had enough. From that day forward, the NAACP fought for the rights of Blacks in this country. They stood up to anyone who tried to trample on those rights, and they stood up to the white-hooded cowards of the KKK. They are once again standing up to the cowards who have exchanged their hoods for red hats, letting them know that this organization will not stand idly by while a so-called “president” tramples on the rights of people across this country. Trump continues to display his racism with no shame.
According to the Mirror, Trump removed Dr. Martin Luther King’s bust from the Oval Office to appease his right-wing friend, Charlie Kirk, who has the nerve to call himself an “activist.” Trump’s acquiescence to someone who calls the Civil Rights Act of 1964 a “huge mistake” is offensive. Trump has also named Kirk to the United States Air Force Academy Board of Visitors, even as he has been restoring Confederate names to Army bases.
These actions tell us all we need to know about Donald Trump. If Trump had his way, we would be returned to segregation and treated as second class citizens. This is not only despicable, but it is shameful. What’s more shameful is that Tim Scott and Byron Donalds have remained silent while all this is going on. They should think about and respect what their mothers and fathers had to go through to be treated as equals in this country, but they are too busy perpetrating. Members of the NAACP, however, are not going to cower to a blatant racist.
The NAACP issued a statement outlining exactly why Donald Trump is not invited to speak at the convention. The statement mentions the organization’s history of having presidents speak, regardless of political party, stating: “ … from Harry Truman to Dwight D. Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and beyond.” The NAACP is and always has been nonpartisan. Their main goal is to ensure that democracy remains, and the Trump administration “does not respect the Constitution or the rule of law.” Most would be embarrassed to be called out publicly, but not Trump. He declined to comment when Newsweek reached out. No need to be shy, Trump. Your dastardly deeds would embarrass most people, but not you. Own up to who and what you are.
