This is keeping the GOP up at night
Lessons not learned can trip up even the most innocuous person. And the GOP is hardly harmless. But the GOP should have learned their lesson during the first go-around. After all – everybody tried to tell them. They were duly warned — over and over and over again.
Yet they ignored virtually everyone in favor of carrying Trump’s water. Well, guess what? The water they chose to carry is now pouring on THEM. “Terrified.” According to numerous reports — too many to count – The Republican party is sweating bullets. Why? Because their smoking gun — Trump — seems to have no interest in HELPING them to win these pesky little midterms, hurling towards us. And the GOP is terrified that Democrats will wipe the floor with them.
“Competitive in districts we can’t even imagine.” That fear is eating at Republicans. It’s the fear that the Democrats will not only be very competitive, but might even be that in RED districts. So that is what is keeping repubs up at night. That’s what’s giving them insomnia.
And it should. Because the truth be told, we likely WILL be competitive in districts we shouldn’t be. I mean — look at the evidence. First off — repubs were ordered not to do town halls. They really do need a new marketing person. What silly advice! Don’t talk to your voters? That is most unseemly!
So, in some districts, Dems are doing Republicans work for them, showing up in red districts and leading these town halls, answering the questions the GOP refuses to. Two—Elon Musk, JD Vance, and Trump himself have not yet accomplished anything except to make many people very nervous, and that’s not a good sign.
Three—big chief blunder-cloud himself. Trump is a red-hot alarm screaming into the void—and I do mean void—only he isn’t screaming on behalf of the American people now, is he? He isn’t enacting policies that will help them now, is he? Instead he’s deporting them. He has RUINED our economy, absolutely torched it, sending it spinning on its axis. Do you know how hard it is to ruin an excellent economy, and yet Trump has managed it, and it only took him mere weeks.
So, yes, the GOP is right to be worried and up all night. What do they think of in these cool midnight hours? Are they calling each other in a panic? Do they accept one iota of responsibility? Unless they do something soon, things will be NAUASEATING for them. Perhaps that’s what they ponder on these late, sleepless nights. Perhaps as they gaze restlessly at unforgiving skies, they see their own images, along with that of a failing and lost presidency tumbling to the ground., tumbling to a wipeout.
