This is just ugly for Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

To the surprise of pretty much nobody, Chris Christie officially suspended his (rather longshot) presidential bid on Wednesday night, as he couldn’t find any backing in the current day Republican Party he was a rising star in just a decade ago. What happened just before he conceded, however, is what’s the more surprising aspect of this story, in which he accurately categorized both of his opponents in a way that the current beltway media has never dared to.

Christie talked about how Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis, the only two left in the GOP race who stand a chance against the former guy, both outspent him significantly in TV ads in New Hampshire ahead of the Republican primary, but then he went on to say that even with their much bigger numbers, Haley’s going to get smoked in New Hampshire despite spending more than three times what Christie spent on his whole campaign, and that she’s not up to this at all.

Anyone who’s actually bothered to see how she carries herself, outside of how the media portrayed her, knew this to be true. He went on to say that DeSantis called him “petrified” – which sounds like how DeSantis comes off on a good day, while an aide on the hot mic told Christie that DeSantis is likely going to drop out following the Iowa primary. While not significant, Christie essentially gave the perfect line of attack for going after either of these clowns. Let’s see how it plays out.
