This is just ugly for Ivanka Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The Covid pandemic has caused so much grief in so many ways. Covid seemingly touched every area of life. One thing it affected was food. Empty grocery shelves. People dealing with job loss who suddenly found themselves facing shrinking incomes and dwindling food supplies.

That’s why, under the Trump administration, the Food to Families program was created. This program was supposed to do precisely what one might think — get food into the hands and mouths of needy families. “Supposed to” are the keywords. It turns out, like, with everything else assolini touched, this program fell apart.

Why is that? Well, according to reporting by ProPublica last spring and a new Congressional report, millions of dollars were misused and squandered. Not surprisingly, Trump’s daughter, Stepford Wife Ivanka Trump, was in charge of the program. And much of the money went to bogus contracts being given to unqualified and inexperienced companies. There was little screening of said applications, according to the report.

Some of the funds were also used to promote President Trump, the reports say. Who would have guessed that? For example, Ivanka Trump insisted that a letter be included in the food packages. Said letter was signed by assolini and bragged about what a good job he was doing with the Coronavirus. Democrats have said this letter appears to violate the Federal Hatch act.

Reportedly, food pantries expressed deep unease with these letters appearing in some of the food packages, saying the letter looked like a Political message or advertisement. Several companies the Trump administration worked with reportedly lacked licenses even to be doing the work they were. None of this should be a surprise, but it does show the apple does not fall at all far from the tree where the insurrectionist’s daughter is concerned.
