This is just ugly for GOP Senator Ron Johnson

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The word “insurrection” has become a household phrase now, after Republican operatives and voters basically started one almost three years ago over election results they didn’t like. Of course, the GOP has desperately tried to counter with everything they can think of to downplay the events of Jan 6, 2021, while some conservative activists have managed to set off an ongoing legal battle of whether or not Donald Trump engaged in an insurrection that should disqualify him from running for office per the 14th Amendment. This is something of a longshot battle, as the former guy has not formally been convicted of insurrection, something mentioned in one of the dissents from the Colorado Supreme Court.

However, not everyone who engaged in the Jan 6 plot was named Donald Trump, which is why we’ve seen a number of the rioters from that day serve sizable prison sentences for their role in the events, and since 2021, the convictions have moved up the ladder. Now, new evidence has emerged implicating Sen. Ron Johnson in the fake electors plot – despite the years he spent denying his involvement.

Even worse for Johnson is the fact that his spokesman didn’t even deny the allegations, saying that the information Johnson received counts for “only a few seconds” of participation, which isn’t really the defense you want to use when it comes to any criminal accusations. As things stand, we’re seeing higher and higher level politicians in the GOP being implicated in the plot.
