This is just ugly for Donald Trump and Melania Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Donald Trump has had very little family presence at his criminal trial. Noticeably absent has been his wife Melania Trump. Who could blame her, given that this trial is centered around the financial crimes that her husband committed in order to hide his affairs from the voting public.

But it turns out the whole thing is much uglier than that. Donald Trump and his people keep floating the defense that he only tried to silence these women because he didn’t want to hurt his wife. But the testimony from various witnesses overwhelmingly makes clear that Trump was interested in the political fallout instead.

Michael Cohen testified today that at one point he asked Donald Trump how Melania would react to the news of his affairs. Cohen said that this was Trump’s response: “Don’t worry, how long do you think I’ll be on the market for? Not long.”

Ouch. Cheating on your wife is bad enough. It’s a whole other thing to dismissively tell your lawyer that you don’t care if she leaves you over it, because you’ll just replace her. No wonder she’s nowhere near the trial.
