This is just ugly for Donald Trump and Eric Adams

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

The darkness at night is a black velvet cloak, and many people choose to hide underneath it—especially when they’re up to no good. In the past few weeks, NY Mayor Eric Adams has done a good job of pouring on the saccharine flattery to Trump. That is actually an understatement. Adams practically genuflects in his frantic attempts to say nice things about the traitor.

Now, we all know, do we not, that Donald Trump and Eric Adams do not care about each other. But you see, they’re both terrible people, angry children of the night who have their own motivations for what they do.

For Adams, undoubtedly, he wants a pardon from Donald Trump. And he may get it. “I think he was treated pretty unfairly,” Trump announced, adding that he’d consider pardoning the mayor. Trump said this to reporters during a press conference.

Trump may have his motivations here. It is widely known that anyone who flatters Trump, compliments him, or pours on the charm stands a better chance of him liking them than those who do not do this. The way to Trump’s non-soul is through his narcissism. He LOVES being told how great he is, and Adams seems to realize that.

And yet, Adams may not get his pardon. Why? Because of a little something that many who do this type of thing forget. His sadism. Trump has an ugly streak of cruelty, evil, and delighting in the humiliation of others. He loves to promise and then take away. It’s his second skin, these promises unfulfilled.

So watch it, Eric Adams. Trump is a master of the casual betrayal. There is nothing he’d like more than to get someone’s hopes up, way up—and then — then — YANK the hope away, letting it dissipate into thin air as the person he made those premises to, watches mournfully in silence and in solitude—the type of solitude Trump is good at dishing out.
