This is just the half of it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Jack Smith’s criminal indictment today against Donald Trump focuses specifically on the fake elector plot and the fraudulent claims surrounding it. Six Trump legal advisers have been listed as co-conspirators, and will presumably be indicted in due time unless they flip. But this is only the half of it.

Even after today’s indictment, Jack Smith reportedly still has 1/6 testimony scheduled for later this month. That upcoming testimony appears to focus on what went on at the Willard Hotel “command center” where Donald Trump’s political underlings tried to coordinate the events of January 6th. So if you’re wondering why the likes of Roger Stone, Alex Jones, Steve Bannon, and others weren’t named as co-conspirators today, that’s because this indictment didn’t focus on the plot they were involved in. But Jack Smith’s next round of charges could focus on that plot.

Today’s indictment is a bombshell, but it’s also very likely just an opening act for the rest of the 1/6 charges that Jack Smith will bring against Trump and/or his co-conspirators. It’s not just that these six co-conspirators will end up indicted if they don’t flip. It’s that plenty of other Trump co-conspirators could also end up indicted before it’s all said and done.
