This is just plain embarrassing for Donald Trump
Donald Trump clearly wants to be out there defiantly pushing back against his felony conviction. The trouble is, any time he tries to speak in public, he comes off as so feeble and senile that it does more harm than good.
That means Trump is having to rely on his surrogates to go out and make the case for him. Unfortunately, so many of Trump’s top people are in prison, or awaiting trial, or cutting plea deals against him, he’s reduced to sending total clowns out there to do his bidding:

That’s right, Donald Trump is now reduced to sending a surrogate onto TV to claim that Trump isn’t actually a convicted felon. Given that everyone saw the trial and the verdict, claiming it didn’t happen is so silly it doesn’t even work on Fox News. Trump is grasping at straws – and missing.
