This is just pitiful at this point

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Republicans are pitiful. You have the Trump faction, and you have the rest. None of them are worth writing home about. Of the two, however, the Trump faction is downright pathetic. Because his campaign is sinking like a boulder in the ocean, Mo Brooks released a video saying that he will “fire Mitch McConnell” if he is elected to Senate. He is not going to be able to do that one on his own. First, Republicans must take back control of the senate for McConnell to be considered for majority leader. Second, most Republicans would have to go along with the idea. It is doubtful that there are enough Trump acolytes to make that happen.

Poor Mo Brooks wants that seat so badly that he would do just about anything. Trump may be endorsing him, but is he giving him any money to help with his campaign? If Bloomberg is correct, the answer is a resounding “no.” Reporting on Trump’s “war chest,” Bloomberg revealed that candidates are not getting any of the money Trump is collecting. While Trump is out busily endorsing candidates, he has not given any of them one dime.

As Bloomberg reported, Trump recently raked in $3.5 million but has spent only $1.2 million. By the end of February, his “Save America” PAC had $110 million in the bank. In essence, Trump has raked in more than enough to help virtually every Republican candidate running for office, but he has so far chosen not to do so. He’s probably sitting somewhere trying to figure out how he can put it in his pocket. Trump isn’t interested in helping anyone other than himself, and the only reason he even endorses candidates is to repay them for worshipping him. Why they worship him will always remain a mystery, especially since he refuses to give any of the money to them that he claims to be collecting for them.

Bloomberg reported that he has endorsed Republican candidates at local, state, and federal levels, and his focus is on those who continue to parrot the big lie. He has endorsed over 130 candidates since leaving office, yet his super PAC has given out a total of only $350,500 to candidates since July and nothing in 2022. While they are limited to $5,000 for federal candidates based on federal laws, they can donate unlimited amounts to buy ads and other expenditures, but they have not done that either. Conversely, Democrats have been raising big dollars, including ending February with $45.5 million in the bank. Even though President Biden’s approval rating is not where it should be and people are concerned about inflation, the money continues to flow in for Democrats. Unlike Trump’s super PAC, Democrats are spending their money on their candidates.

Spending money on candidates is really the sole purpose of fundraising. That money can help candidates win their respective races. Trump, who spends inordinate amounts of time raising money, is keeping it to himself. No one will be the least surprised if this is just yet another Trump scam.
