This is just laughable at this point

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden took the opportunity to tell the First Lady on X, “Jilly, you’re the love of my life and the life of my love.” President Barack Obama gushed about Michelle, “How did I get so lucky?” while President Bill Clinton asked, “Where did the time go?” before wishing Hillary another happy Valentine’s Day.

Not to be outdone, Donald Trump crafted his own supposed Valentine greeting to Worst Lady Melania. The message bizarrely painted her as some profile in courage while drawing attention to his criminal history and other legal woes. “Dear Melania, I LOVE YOU! Even after every single INDICTMENT, ARREST, and WITCH HUNT, you never left my side,” Trump wrote.

Trump continued by stressing that Melania “always” supported him and, laughably, that he wouldn’t “be the man I am today” if it weren’t for Melania’s “guidance, kindness, and warmth.” After asserting that Melania “will always mean the world to me,” Trump signed off as her “husband with love.”

Given all that we have known about Donald and Melania, this Valentine’s Day greeting doesn’t exactly seem heartfelt or even anchored to reality. As it turns out, it’s a plea for cash, e-mailed early Wednesday to supporters. Clicking on the message brings readers to a Web page where they are asked to “SEND HER YOUR LOVE!” by leaving ‘SOME KIND WORDS” in the message box. However, it appears that to send the message, you need to donate something, such as $47 “IF YOU THINK DONALD J. TRUMP IS THE GREATEST PRESIDENT OF ALL TIME!”

So, Trump’s Valentine’s Day greeting is about love, after all—his undying love of another word that begins with the letter m: money. Whether it’s defending democracy or celebrating Valentine’s Day, nothing is sacred to Donald Trump. We don’t need him reminding us of all that from the Oval Office — again.
