This is just getting ugly
Get ready, my dear Palmer Report readers. Get ready because it looks like there might be an uprising in the GOP, a bitter and nasty one. Politico is reporting that many Republicans are getting well and honestly pissed that they are being bullied into having to accept many of Donald Trump’s nasty, idiotic, incompetent, unqualified nominations.
Yes, they’re being bullied and, in some cases, threatened with being primaried, and they’re fed up, and they’re not going to take it anymore! The sheep are revolting in packs. Will there be a stampede off the fields? Only time will tell.
Republicans who have doubts are being strong armed, and they’re sick of it! It’s the revenge of the nerds, political style. Some Republicans are not responding well to these mafioso-like threats which are making them dig in more rather than silently acquiesce.
Nobody tells ME what to do; some might be thinking even as Donald Trump’s been telling them what to do for the last ten years. North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer is one of those Republicans getting annoyed at the relentless bullying, which, like a long-drawn-out tornado, will not end. He told Politico that this kind of thing does not make Republicans more loyal.
It just makes them more angry. Could the Trump team finally have gone too far? Has it come to this? I am not so sure. The reason I am not so sure can be summed up in another comment Cramer made to Politico. “I don’t know many wimpy senators.” Are you KIDDING?
The whole party is a bunch of wimps! It’s a fraternity house, a fraternity house that could be called “Delta Sigman Wimp.” It’s a wimp Lollapalooza with an emphasis on Looza.
It’s wimps to the right, wimps to the left, wimps in the house, wimps bringing up the rear, wimps, wimps, and more wimps, the whole damn party is made up of wimps; if the word “wimp” was looked up in the dictionary one even might expect to see a photo of many a republican next to the meaning.
So yes, Republicans might be stewing in their juices but opening their mouths and yelling, “Leave me alone?” I think that is one daydream that will remain a figment of the imagination.
