This is just embarrassing for Mike Pence

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

I want to talk about the sad case — the sad case of Mike Pence. Pence has been making the rounds lately and giving speeches. But to watch is to — pity him. After all — this man is throwing himself on the mercy of the people who once wanted him dead. What could be more pitiful than that?

Mike Pence is auditioning for the role of President. He won’t win. But it IS a way to get his name out there and to maybe get a book deal or a deal as a pundit for some sad, hate-fueled non-news network. Perhaps, this is why he’s doing it.

But the price he is paying is enormous. I wonder — does Mike Pence have grandchildren? Just what does he plan to SAY to them when they get older and ask him about that terrible day?

How does he justify in his own heart the rage of the mob? Does money mean so very much to him? Recently Pence declared in a speech that he and Trump do not differ on many issues. Hearing this, I just had to laugh — well, it was either that or cry.

Does the man really BELIEVE that? Could be really be THAT dense? Mike Dense, as many have charmingly nicknamed him, COULD be that dense, but I doubt he is. This is all a smokescreen. Undoubtedly, the man knows who and what the evil is. And like so many before him, he’s decided to play the Maga game — for money or for power or for whatever he wants at the time.

It’s a sad legacy to leave. Perhaps in the dark of night, he ponders that. Perhaps as he watches the sun set, he ponders the question millions of us do — who am I? And the answer to that question that we see is — nobody.
