This is just embarrassing for Mike Pence

When Mike Pence appeared on the debate stage on Wednesday night, he said some things that should make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. And no, it wasn’t his declaration that he’s been sleeping with a teacher for years, although I truly believe the words “sleeping with” should never be used in the same sentence as Mike Pence.

No, there were two statements that Pence made that were chilling for different reasons. One is the fact that he expressed interest in a nationwide ban against gender surgery. Now, bear in mind Mike Pence has about as much chance of ever becoming president as I do of becoming a Donald Trump fan. In other words, none.

But those words were spooky. They were eerie. Because they showed Mike’s fanaticism. Unlike some other Republicans, Mike Pence does not seek to hide his fanaticism, he wears it like a heavy coat around himself with pride; his comments regarding the LGBTQ community show well the sickness that possesses Pence, a man who once believed in conversion therapy.

The other comment was about how to deal with gun violence. In Pence’s is warped mind, fast-tracking all school shooters to receive the death penalty is his way, his solution of stopping the violence. Now, one does not even have to look that closely to know that those comments make no sense.

Most school shooters want to die. Indeed most of them do not even survive the shootings as they are taken out by police. Mike Pence’s whole person, including his soul are a primordial time capsule. They come from another century, another time, long left behind — a time he no doubt would love to get back to if only he could.
