This is just embarrassing for Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. This weekend, Donald Trump finally held his much anticipated rally in the very competitive state of New Jersey, which hasn’t voted Republican in a presidential race in nearly four decades, nor have the margins even been particularly close. Let’s be real.

Despite what the Trump 2024 campaign was trying to make this about while also fulfilling the former guy’s paranoid delusions that New York and New Jersey are both somehow in play, this whole delusion is falling apart in real time. On Sunday, when the rally took place, the former guy’s typical cheerleaders declared the crowd size to be somewhere between 80,000 to 100,000 people.

The obvious problem is that there’s no possible way to fit this many people into the spot on the Jersey shore where the rally took place, and aerial photos show that the spot is actually pretty empty if you have a bird’s eye view.

That said, it also thinned out pretty early, while the former guy was still rambling on about how he’s a political victim, making it clear that not only does Donald Trump have no new material (and he struggles with what his greatest hits used to be), but even his most die-hard fans are just there to see if he has anything new to say – maybe tap into a hateful screed and give them something else to rage against this month. This time there wasn’t any of that – and even the media coverage didn’t help him much – as it was over faster than they could spin it into anything meaningful.
