This is just disgusting even for Greg Abbott
I feel like Beto O’Rourke is our great hope for Texas. Beto is running a strong campaign in the Governor’s race. He really is like a night-lamp in the courtyard when it comes to Texas. His opponent, on the other hand, is botching — big-time — his own chances. More and more, day by day, hour by hour, Greg Abbott’s image is stinking to high heaven.
There was a tragedy in Texas this week. Over 50 migrants were discovered dead near San Antonio, Texas. They were found in a truck. It is a shocking and horrific tragedy. But rather than take ANY responsibility, Greg Abbott blamed the whole thing on President Biden.
“These deaths are on Biden,” the maniacal Governor tweeted. No, it is not, Mr. Abbott. YOU are the one who has been making life so difficult for these migrants. YOU are the one who is intercepting these people and making their lives miserable.
But it is not just this tragedy. Abbott’s comments about catching all Texas rapists are coming back to haunt him as abortion becomes illegal in Texas. Or IS it? That’s the thing. Nobody seems to know for sure. And Abbott isn’t exactly filling people in.
Did you know Texas is number one of all the states in forcible rape? I learned this from Lawrence O’Donnell. So how exactly does Abbott plan to eliminate rape, as he so charmingly put it?
Then there is the Uvalde shooting. We must not forget the reported cover-up and the fact that Abbott appears not to give a damn about the victims nor their families. So yes — it is official — the Texas Governor is an idiot. And every single day, that becomes more clear.
