This is humiliating for Marjorie Taylor Greene

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Marjorie Taylor Greene wore a big smile on her face as she touted the $9.3 million that she brought to her district in Georgia. One problem: she voted against the bill that included the money she now claims. Everyone who voted for the bill brought those funds to Georgia, not Greene. Of course, this is the Republican way. All those who voted against President Biden’s infrastructure bill went on to brag about it anyway to their constituents. They want constituents to believe they are doing something in Washington other than keeping the chaos going they so love. Of this crew of wackos, Greene stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Newsweek reported that two days after President Biden signed the spending bills, Greene sent out a press release detailing the funding “she secured” for projects in her district. Of course, she made no mention of the fact that she voted against the bill. She has her constituents fooled. Greene doesn’t care about funding for her constituents. Hell, she doesn’t even care about the government other than what she can do to dismantle it. According to Newsweek, there are additional bills that need to pass by March 22 to avoid a partial shutdown. Greene will likely vote against those as well. She doesn’t care about the people who sent her to Washington. She has her own goals, and they are not positive. Though these bills will improve the lives of those in the 14th Congressional District, they don’t have their representative to thank.

Greene’s press release outlined the package. The total of funds coming to the district is $9.3 million, including upgrades to the Floyd County Airport. Greene’s release said that she “was proud to announce that she has successfully secured federal funding after she meticulously sought out projects that would improve quality of life, increase economic and social development, assist localities with vital funding needs, and harness community support.” What a crock. She didn’t bring squat, considering that she voted against the bill. In fact, Newsweek reached out to Greene after she voted against the bill. She said there “was no reason to vote on a minibus” and denigrated Republican colleagues for voting in favor of the bill. Yet, she has the nerve to take credit for it.

Greene is not the only Republican who voted against the bill. Newsweek reported that a total of 83 Republicans and two Democrats voted against the bill, which quickly passed the Senate with a 75 to 22 vote. Newsweek further shared Greene’s thoughts about the funding package: “And this bill didn’t just increase spending, it gave Joe Biden and [Senate Majority Leader] Chuck Schumer everything they wanted on their wish list, and that is something I’ll always refuse to vote for.” Greene is obviously willing to neglect the people in her own district just to vote against anything Democratic leadership proposes. That’s not how this works. The sooner that we can get people like Greene out of Congress, the better off our country will be.
